Pet Wellness Exams

The physical exam of your pet and beloved family member is at the heart of our practice.

Why do a wellness exam?

Pet wellness care is an essential aspect of responsible pet ownership. Regular wellness checkups and preventive care can help keep your pet healthy and happy for years to come. At Bristol County Veterinary Hospital, we provide comprehensive pet wellness exams for cats and dogs to help keep your furry friends in the best possible health.

A pet wellness exam, also known as a preventive health exam, is a comprehensive checkup of your pet’s overall health. During a pet wellness exam, a veterinarian will evaluate your pet’s weight, vital signs, and overall physical condition. They will also check your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and coat and listen to their heart and lungs. If any issues are detected, the veterinarian will discuss them with you and develop a treatment plan to address them.

Wellness checkups for cats and dogs are crucial for early detection of health issues. Many health problems can develop silently and go unnoticed until they become serious and more difficult to treat. By having regular wellness checkups, your veterinarian can catch these problems early and help keep your pet healthy. Additionally, wellness checkups are a great opportunity for pet owners to ask any questions they may have about their pet’s health and receive expert advice from a veterinarian.
