Whether it’s for one day or several days, the Bristol County Veterinary Hospital will provide a safe, clean, and welcoming home for your pets while you’re away.

Boarding services are offered for our established clients only. Dogs are boarded in kennels according to their size and cats and exotics are boarded in a separate location to offer them a separate space apart from barking dogs. Because we do not have outdoor runs and facilities, those animals that are younger, have lots of energy and require lots of exercise may be better suited to larger boarding facilities or specialized pet sitting. There are two types of boarding services offered:

Standard Boarding
Standard boarding includes three leashed walks daily for dogs and daily “free-time” for cats in their boarding location. All boarding facilities and bedding are washed and changed daily (multiple times if need be), to ensure your pet is comfortable and clean. Dogs and cats are fed up to three times daily based on their schedule at home. To prevent gastrointestinal upset, we recommend you bring your own food and any treats. We will provide bedding and dishes.

With your permission, we will send you updates and/or pictures of your pet via text, email, or phone on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday (excluding drop-off, pickup days, and holidays).

Medical Boarding
Medical Boarding is Standard Boarding plus that extra tender loving care that is needed for our patients that may have medical issues, disabilities, or may be recuperating from an injury or illness. If your pet requires medical observation or administration of medications, our veterinary staff will ensure that their medical treatments and health is tended to. In addition, our veterinary team is available to address any medical concerns during our regular business hours, should they arise.

Additional Services: You may request a bath and/or nail trim during your pet’s stay.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Drop Off and Pick Up are Monday through Saturday only. We do not provide boarding to patients under 6 months of age and have limited availability for dogs over 5o lbs (early reservation may be needed). Please feel free to contact our hospital and speak to one of our veterinary staff members with any questions.
